Role: Blu plays Heartache, a bar owner & an old Jazz singer, who comes to terms with his cancer and his estranged son's release from prison.

Synopsis: HUSTLE vs. HEARTACHE is inspired on a true story; written & directed by Jason Tyler. During Hustle's incarceration (played by Giovanni Adams), Heartache watched over Hustle's son, Julian (played by Nehemiah Sutton) , and Julian's mother, Sadie (played by Davetta Sherwood), even supplying her a job at the bar. Succumbing to his illness, during an argument, Heartache struggles home, carried by his son, Hustle (an aspiring rapper). There under his care, Heartache passes away, but not-before "handing down" one of his last recordings; an example that, even though he might not have always been there, he never stopped caring.

When asked about one of his favourite career experiences, Blu stated, “One of my all time fondest memories will always be the twenty months I spent at the Arts Club Review Theatre in 1985-86 performing in Ain’t Misbehavin for sold out audiences night after night. I worked with the best cast in the universe. We were having so much fun it was absolutely an all time high for me.”
